After a difficult battle with Alzheimer’s, Eva passed away in Sechelt, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband, Venerable James Whittles, a priest in the Anglican Church.
Eva is survived by her brother, J. Stewart Mackenzie (Marie) of Kelowna, sister Jewel Barker of Longview, Washington, three nieces and two nephews.
Gardening was Eva’s passion and she was a member of the Anglican women’s auxiliary, the garden club, bridge, Baden Powell Guild, Vancouver Symphony and other organizations. She gave generously and willingly throughout the community during her life.
A service will be held at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 2:00 p.m.
