Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on December 18, 2012 at the age of 81. Predeceased by his wife Josephine; parents: John and Ellen; children: Gerard and Helen; grandchild Crystal Norman; brother Gerard; and brother-in-law Brian. Leaving to mourn are his children: John (Jennie), Leonard (Linda), and Joanne (Cordell); brothers: Fred (Susan), Kevin (Margaret), Patrick (Janet) and Bernard (Judy); sisters: Teresa Casey, Betty Worthing (Ron), Rose Stroud (Bill), and Mary McGuire (George); sister-in-law Betty Norman; son-in-law Dave; daughter-in-law Marie; special friend Marg Bishop; as well as a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joseph was a Knights of Columbus 4th degree member of the Terra Nova Council 1452. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd, on Wednesday from 6 - 9 p.m. and Thursday from
2 - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place from St. Teresa’s Church on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. with cremation to follow. Flower’s gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
