ATKINSON, RICHARD "DICK" - 1940 - 2012 - Richard Atkinson passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Born in Debert, NS, son of the late Henry and Marjorie (Proctor) Atkinson. Two ambitions that Richard had were stock car driving/racing and bowling. Richard will be sadly missed by his wife of 32 years Bonnie MacBeath, four sons; Richard (Heather) of Oromocto, Danny (Sandra) of Saint John, Marcus (Julie) of Saint John and Jason (Stephanie) of Salisbury, four grandchildren Chad, Stephanie, Angela and Samantha.
A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 pm followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. A private graveside service will be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorial donations in Richard's memory may be made to MS Society, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
