KAPLANSKY, PAULA MENDELSOHN - On Friday, November 23, 2012. Paula lived in Saint John from 1956 to 1971 and from 1974 to 1979. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Margo (Kaplansky) and Arthur Smith, and Jonathan Kaplansky. Loving grandmother of Alexis and Victoria Smith. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Max Mendelsohn and Ghislaine Richard. Daughter of the late S. Leon Mendelsohn Q.C. and Edythe (Rubin) Mendelsohn. Also sadly mourned by her nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to Claire MacDonald for her friendship and devotion over many years, and to the doctors and staff of the ICU Royal Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion.
