Passed peacefully away on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Palliative Care, Anna Norah Heffernan, age 81 years. Predeceased by husband Phonse, 1993, sisters Victoria Hayes, Alfreda O’Brien, Christina Carey, Mary Phillips, brothers John, Cyril, and Victor Carey, in-laws: John Heffernan, Lucy & Keith Griffiths. Leaving to mourn six children: Angela, Gerry (Pam Pike, grandchildren Anna & Georgia), Mary, Theresa, Kevin (Margaret, grandchildren Ben & Christian) and Maureen (Darron James, grandchildren Emma, Katie & Isaac); sisters: Rosemary (Charlie McCarthy), Beatrice Hawkins, Admiral’s Cove; brothers: Jerome & Tommy Carey, Cape Broyle; sisters-in-law: Eileen (John Bidgood), Nellie Heffernan; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Friday, December 21st from 7-9 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, December 22nd & 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Monday, December 24, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road.
