Carole Davidson

Born In: Nova Scotia, Canada

Passed on: December 21st, 2012

New Glasgow - Carole Ann Davidson, 67. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Carole Ann Davidson (nee Hughes) , Fraser's Lane , New Glasgow, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Glen Haven Manor. Carole was born in New Glasgow on November 29, 1945 to the late Fred and Annie (Perry) Hughes of Walkerville, Pictou County. Mom was a gentle and very giving person her whole life, always thinking of others before herself. However, nothing meant more to her than her family whom she loved deeply, especially her three children and six grandchildren. She was such a proud Mom and Nan and cherished every moment she had with them. Mom had a way of touching everyone she met; always making them feel at ease and accepted. This was her most special quality. She made many life-long friends who had such a special place in her heart and with whom she shared many wonderful memories that were never forgotten. She loved so many things in her life, two of which were music and laughter. Her quick wit, her bigger than life smile and that little twinkle in her beautiful blue eyes will be lovingly remembered and so greatly missed everyday by her surviving children, daughters: Sherry (Ian Strickland), Salmon River, NS; Stacey (Dean Murphy), New Glasgow; son Shannon (Jesse Blackmore), Vancouver, BC; the little lights of her life, her grandchildren: Felicia, Samantha, Ryan, Connor, Dawson and Caden; sisters and dear friends: Arlene Smith, Trenton; Margaret (Steve) Cody, Mountville; brothers: Fred (Mary) Hughes, Stellarton; David Hughes, New Glasgow; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she adored. Besides her parents, Carole was predeceased by the love-of-her-life husband, Dennis Davidson, a grandson Brady in infancy and her brother-in-law Bob Smith. Carole's remains have been entrusted to R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow where visitation will be held Thursday, December 27 from 10-10:45 am with a service to follow immediately at 11am in the chapel with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Join us in celebration of Carole as we say goodbye to an amazing mother, grandmother, sister and friend. No flowers please by request of the family and all donations may be made in memory of Carole to the recreation fund at the Glen Haven Manor. Condolences may be sent by visiting: www.rhporter.ca
