DAIGLE, LEON - With great sadness the family announces the passing of retired Captain Leon Walsh Daigle, who passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born 1941 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Lionel and Rita (McDonald) Daigle. Also predeceased by his wife Margaret "Molly" (Murray) Daigle and his infant sister Anne Marie. Leon was a Firefighter for 33 years retiring in 2002. His passion was his family and fishing. He is survived by his daughters Leanne Daigle and Rita (Brian Tracey) Daigle; the mother of his children Barb Daigle all of Saint John; step-children William, John and David Murray all of Saint John; one granddaughter Meghan Daigle Cruise; step-grandchildren Carly, Tessa and William Murray; one sister Betty Brown of Rothesay; nephew Michael Brown and niece Michelle Holmes and several cousins.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road with visitation on Thursday December 27, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday December 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Saturday December 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
