Peacefully at the Hillsborough Hospital, Charlottetown, on Thursday, May 15, 2008, with her family by her side of Florence Romaine Matthews, age 78 years. Born in Union, P.E.I., April 13, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Amy Lou (nee Ramsay) Matthews. Dear sister to Clair of Montrose, Wendell (Betty) of Alberton and Maewood Dorman of Chilliwack, B.C. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Lowell, Kenneth, Haldine, Glenn, Frederick, Noella, Gwenlyn (in infancy), Florence Maewood (age three) and Glenn Wright (age three). Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday afternoon from the Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton, for funeral service at 4 p.m. Rev. John A.C. Wilson officiating.
