Ruben Deagle
WESTVILLE – Ruben A. “Buddy” Deagle, 80, of Westville, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Westville, Feb. 7, 1932, he was a son of the late Ned and Anna (Shepard) Deagle.
Buddy lived in Ontario for 50 years, spent a number of winters in Florida and moved back to Westville 11 years ago. He was a truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed blue grass and camping where he made a great number of friends along the way.
He will be missed by his wife Eleanor Chisholm Langley; daughters Joyce McDonald (Mike), Westville; Sandy Deagle (Debbie), Hamilton, Ontario; step-children Linda Rutherford (Terry), Ontario; Glen Langley (Faye), Drumhead; three grandchildren: Michael, Michelle and Matthew McDonald; two great-grandchildren Xander and Keegan and special granddaughter Sherry “Dummie”, Ontario. He is also survived by his sisters Emily Marshall, Westville and Isabel Salter (Allie), Westville and brother Gordon (Joan), Ottawa.
Buddy was predeceased by his sister, Marion Salter.
Visitations will be held on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Father Gerald Campbell officiating. Cremation will follow.
Family flowers only. Donations in his memory maybe made to Aberdeen Palliative Care.
