ARSENAULT, LEONARD J. - Leonard Arsenault, 83, of Dieppe, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on March 11, 1929 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Rosario and Edna (Cormier) Arsenault. Prior to his retirement, Leonard worked as a salesman at Medjucks and City Furniture. He was a member of Christ-Roi Golden Age Club, the Bouctouche Golf Club, the Champlain Place Walking Club and the Hub Seniors’ Club. He is survived by his wife, Elva (LeBlanc); one son, Joseph Leonard (Barbara) of Dieppe; three sisters: Bernadine Goodwin (Dean) of Ottawa, ON, Jeannine Després (Ernest) of Moncton and Inez Kulcheskey (late Ted) of Toronto, ON; one brother, Euclide (late Anita) of Lyndsay, ON; two grandsons: Joey and Michael; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granchild; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joan Gallagher (1974) and one brother, Telesphore “Tex”.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. Visitations are Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of funeral.
