It is with great sadness that the families of Allan B. Saunders announce his passing on Monday, December 24th, 2012, at 86 years of age. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Margaret; his children: Richard (Nancy), Shelia, Kevin (Lorrie), Frank (Lil), Barry (Heather), Dean, Colleen (Barry), Manuel, Anne, Chris (Kim) and Jason (Andrea); his grandchildren: Sharon, Allan, Julia, Shawn, Justin, Mark, Darren, Sara, Ryan, Maria, Darby, Emily, Lynette, Melanie, Nikki and Ella; his great-grandchildren: Taylor, Robyn, Autumn, Alexander, Madison and Jade; and a circle of friends in both Deer Lake and Stephenville. He was predeceased by his first wife, Daisy; his parents, Ronald & Emily Saunders; his siblings: Alice, Joseph, Ronald, Bridget, Clotilda and Richard; and son-in-law, John Ashton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allan's memory would be graciously appreciated by the family and can be made to the Immaculate Conception Parish of Deer Lake. The family will be receiving family and friends from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, today, Thursday, January 3rd, 2013, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 4th, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Parish Roman Catholic Church in Deer Lake with Mons. Jim Robertson ­officiating. Burial to follow at the Roman Catholic section of the cemetery at Wight's Road, Deer Lake, NL.
