The death occurred peacefully, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, January 4, 2013, of Harold Rodd, of Summerside, aged 93 years.
Born in Milton, he was the son of the late Ambrose and Lizzie (Crockett) Rodd. Survived by his wife, Glenn (MacNeill) Rodd; children, Parker (Vicki) Rodd, Bedford, N.S.; Karen (Greg) Starratt, Halifax, N.S.; Ian (Glenda) Rodd, Charlottetown; Graham (Beverley) Rodd, Ottawa, ON; grandchildren, Michaella, Tyler, Kimberley, Chris, Geoffrey, Nicola, Spencer and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Ella and Euan.
Predeceased by his brothers, John "Jack", Parker and Wallace; sisters, Verna Anderson and Jean MacLean.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside, for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside.
Visiting hours Sunday from 6-9 p.m.
Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
On Sunday evening, members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Service of Remembrance at the funeral home at 5:45 p.m.
