It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivy House of Bellburns, NL, announce her passing on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 97 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Barbara (Gerald), Daniel's Harbour, Gladys (Ralph), Parsons Pond and Edna (Leonard), River of Ponds; sons Jacob, Cox's Cove and Hubert (Sadie), River of Ponds; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother Arch, residing at Seniors Home in Corner Brook; sisters Alice (Douglas), Elsie and Edith (Henry), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Abraham, parents William and Elizabeth, daughter-in-law Ethel, brothers Howard and Eli and sister Fanney. Visitation took place at St. Peter's Anglican Church in River of Ponds on Friday and Saturday. The funeral service took place at St. Aiden's Anglican Church in Bellburns on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paulette Bugden officiating. Interment followed at Spudgels Cove Cemetery.
