EASTWOOD, WILLIAM - William Percy Eastwood, of Hoyt, NB. passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on January 12, 2013. William was born on November 8, 1936 in Hoyt to the late Lillian Hamilton and Leslie Eastwood. William was a Ferry Operator in Westfield for the Dept of Transportation for many years but his true life's work was farming the family homestead in Hoyt. He happily lived there all his life and truly loved the land, and community around it. William enjoyed driving the countryside to watch tractor pulls or check out the latest machinery at equipment shows and dancing all night at the Legion, with friends. William is survived by one daughter; Letisha Eastwood (Chris Clark), Saint John, brothers; Byron (Betty-Ann) Eastwood, Miramichi, George (Margie) Eastwood, Springfield, his nieces and nephews Ashley Eastwood (Krista Filmore), Misty (Adam) Currie, Geordy (Melissa) Eastwood and Ryan Eastwood (Liala Johnson). Besides his parents, William was predeceased by his sister Kathleen.
Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home to pay respects to family on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be from Wirral Baptist Church on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at 3pm with Lic. Linda Perrin officiating. Interment will be in the Patterson United Cemetery in the spring.
