(nee Summers) March 7, 1942 - March 6, 2008 – Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with brain cancer on Thursday, March 6, 2008. Predeceased by her husband Jim (January 2000) and her daughter Karen (December 2000), as well as her parents, Gus and Mary Summers; brothers: Gus Jr. and Ches and sister Phil. Leaving to mourn her son Jimmy (Amanda); granddaughter karen; son-in-law Brian (Shelly); grandson Gavin; granddaughter Nicole; also leaving to mourn her sisters: Mary Metcalfe (John), Olga Shields, Carolann Hann (Woody) and Marie Mills (John); brothers: John (Irene), Fred (Trudy), Edward (Sharon) and sister-in-law Florence Summers; brother-in-law Dennis Foley (Kay) and special sister-in-law Madeline Nash (Raymond); as well as numerous other family and friends in St. John's and St. Bride's, and her "Bested Bested Friend" Kay Harding and family, especialy Queenie. A special thank you to the Peter's and Hannah's Haven Nursing Home in St. Bride's and all her friends working and residing there who took such wonderful care of her. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Thursday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Caul's Chapel.
