Peacefully at his late residence on Sunday, January 13, 2013, of Mr. Merlin J. “Red” MacKenzie of Charlottetown, age 83 years.
Beloved husband of Joyce (nee MacDonald) MacKenzie and dear father of Cheryl (Shawn) Kerry and Anthony “Tony” MacKenzie. He is also survived by five loving grandchildren, Rachel and Sheila Kerry and Danielle, Lisa and Jillian MacKenzie; one great-grandchild, Tye MacKenzie; sisters, Shirley (Joe - deceased) Redmond and Patricia (Sterling) Williams.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Ella (nee Hughes) MacKenzie and brothers and sisters, Adeline Carver, Arthur MacKenzie, Erma Keddy and Kenny MacKenzie.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where a private funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Flowers gratefully declined, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I. or the Alzheimer Society.
