Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, Annie C. Parsons of Carbonear, age 87 years. Predeceased by husband: John; son: Samuel; grandson: Christopher; parents: James and Wesley King; brothers: Herbert, Wallace and George; sisters: Minnie and Beulah. Left to mourn, three daughters: Shirley (Graham) Vaters, Toronto, ON, Sandra Turnbull and Edna (Elliott) Antle, both of Carbonear; nine grandchildren: Stanley, Darryl, Don, Dwayne, Dennis, David, Sam, Lisa and Jackie; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two brothers: Albert (Dora) King and George King, both of Victoria; one sister: Hilda (Tom) Penney, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Sunday, January 13 from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment took place in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
