MARGARET M. MACDONALD

FUNERAL SERVICE

The funeral of the late Margaret M. MacDonald of Harbourstone formerly of Terra Nova C.B., was held at the T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel on Friday, December 28, 2012. The service was co-celebrated by Rev. Dr. Murdock MacRae and Fr. Everett MacDow. Hymns sung by the congregation and led by Marie, Bernadette and Blanche were "In the Garden", "Shall We Gather at the River" and "How Great Thou Art". A touching and personal eulogy was given by Fr. Everett. Long time friends, Earl MacPherson, Harvey MacPherson, Jamie MacDonald, Roy MacInnis and Charlie MacDonald were Honorary Pallbearers. Six of the people she loved to see stop at the house were her Active Pallbearers: Hector MacDonald, CLyde MacDonald, Francis MacDow, Tony MacInnis, Greg MacMillan and Billy MacPhee. The committal service by Rev. Murdock took place at the Chapel. Violin selections by Doald C. MacLeod and Doreen MacRae were played at the end of the service followed by a reception upstairs. Internment took place at the MacKeigan Cemetery, Lake Uist with prayers being offered by Fr. Everett MacDow.

CARD OF THANKS

We, the family of the late Margaret M. MacDonald, wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to relatives and friends for their support during our recent bereavement. To those who visited, sent flowers, cards, food, memorials and donations, we are truly grateful. Thank you to Dr. James MacKillop, the management and staff of Harbourstone especially the nurses and workers of Spanish Bay, her home for the last eight years. Also thanks to the residents and their families who became close friends to our mother. Thanks to Rev. Dr. Murdock MacRae and Fr. Everett MacDow, Bill Curry, Annette Graham and staff of T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, the organist, singers and the violin players, Honorary and Active Pallbearers. Thank you to the Bean Bank, family and friends who provided food for the reception after the service. Thanks to Billy MacCormick for the opening and closing of the grave. To the ladies of East Bay who provided a beautiful supper at the house following the burial and Mary Jane and Chris who took over the kitchen duties, a special thank you.
On our mothers behalf, we would like to thank Effie and Angus MacDonald, Kay and the late Michael MacInnis, Beverly and the late Hazen MacDonald and their families, who were always so good to our mother and ourselves over the years.
