The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, of Frances Penelope "Penzie" McAleer (nee Reid), wife of the late Gavin McAleer, of Andrews Lodge and formerly of St. Patrick’s, age 96. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow, until Tuesday, Jan. 15, then to St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, for celebration of funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Anne’s Cemetery.
