BOURGEOIS, GEORGE - George "Georgie" Bourgeois of Memramcook passed away at his residence on Monday, January 14, 2013 at the age of 75 after a long battle with cancer. Born on March 5, 1937 in Memramcook East, he was the son of the late Patrick Bourgeois and the late Amanda LeBlanc. He was a welder until his retirement. He was a member of the Golden Age Club of Memramcook and was an avid bowler, fly fisherman and loved hunting. He is survived by his wife Dorilla, one daughter, Marise (Ken) LeBlanc of Memramcook Lake; four sons, Marc (Christine) of St-Joseph, Gilbert of Saskatoon, SK, Donald (David) of Ottawa and Ricky (Anita) of Millet, AB; one sister, Jeanne (Alderice) LeBlanc of Irishtown; four brothers, Leonard (Irene) of St-Joseph, Eugene (Noella) of Irishtown, Walter (Leonise) of Memramcook East and Danny (Diane) of Belliveau Village; four grandchildren: Michel, Melanie, Jesse and Monique, two great grandson: Corey and Connor and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two daughters, Denise (1970) and Marie (infant 1961), two sisters Florence and Dora and by two brothers Alyre and Donald.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. and on Thursday, January 17 from 1:30 to 3:15 pm. Funeral mass will be held at Notre Dame de l’Annonciation Church, Pré-D’en-Haut on Thursday, January 17 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be held at Notre Dame de Lourdes cemetery, Memramcook East.
