(ERN) Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on Thursday, March 6, 2008, surrounded by his loving family while in the arms of his son Todd, Ern Lucas, aged 71 years. Predeceased by his parents: Gladys and Thomas; sister: Joan Bustin; brother: Art; and ten nieces and nephews. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 49 years Judy (nee Fleming); his daughters: Rhonda Boland (Hughie), Pam Lucas (Jim), Gail Hann (Bill) and Debbie Sullivan (Wayne); sons: Ernest Joseph (Janet), Todd, and Ernest James (Michelle); grandchildren: Hughie Jr., Erin, Pamela, Jamie, Coady, Lacey, Bill, Lucas, Roy, Sarah, Grace, Hannah and Jakob; sisters: Glady Powell (Derm) and Lil Strickland (Les); brothers: John (Marg), Tom (Joan), Lou (Helen) and Dave (Barb); sister-in-law: Gladys; brother-in-law: Basil (Carol); special friends: Paul Fifield and Craig Smith, a special thank you for your endless care and compassion over the last year; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
