Little Harbour - Mary Ann (Van Kessel) Noseworthy, passed away Jan. 18, 2013 at the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on Oct. 8, 1957 in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Marie and the late Gerald Van Kessel of Fraser’s Mtn. She was a graduate of East Pictou Rural High School and Acadia University. She was a stay-at-home mom, and, in later years worked with her brother at Atlantic Vaccinators and more recently with Highland Community Residential Services. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Stewart, Little Harbour; son, Graham (Jessica), Saskatoon; daughter, Amanda, New Glasgow; brothers: Peter (Bernadette), New Glasgow; John (Jo-Anne), Fraser’s Mtn.; Andrew (Jill), Saskatoon; sister, Jo Ann (Curt), Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Karen; her mother-in-law, Rosemary Hasey; and her father-in-law Frank Noseworthy. The family would like to thank Dr. Farrell and the staff at the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at the R. H. Porter Funeral Home in New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at St. John the Baptist Church in New Glasgow with Father Donald Boudreau officiating.
