It is with great sadness that the families of George Albert (Bert) Nichols announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Friday, January 18th, 2013 at the age of 80 years. Leaving to mourn are his sons; Randy, Barry, Paul (June), Duncan, his brother; Duncan (Mabel), son in law; Malcom Campbell, grandsons; Andy Nichols, Julian Jay Garnier, & great grandson; Robby Garnier, his ex-wife; Melva, also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, & friends. Bert was predeceased by his daughter; Bonnie (2011), mother (Elsie Phobe) & father Warren Lorenzo Nichols, his 3 sisters; Joyce (Pollis), Gladys (Melvin), & Kitty (Lidstone). As of the wishes of Bert Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2013, at 2:pm, with Rev: Clayton Parsons officiating, at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL. Flowers and or donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society, in Bert’s Memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
