SARABIN, Mary late of Meath Park, SK passed away January 18th 2010 in the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 93 years. Mary was born September 15th 1916 in St. Norbert, Manitoba. She was raised on the family farm at Honeymoon, SK. In 1937 she married Peter Sarabin. They moved to Toronto where their first two sons were born. Mary and Peter moved back to Saskatchewan and purchased their farm home at NW19-52-23-W2nd. They were blessed with four more children. Mary was an excellent farm wife and mother. She worked beside Peter in the fields and with the cattle but, her passion was her garden. Mary spent countless hours in her garden and everyone benefited from her efforts. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, picking berries and mushrooms and playing bingo. Mother loved her family and was always ready with advice and encouragement. She will be lovingly remembered by everyone who knew her. Mary is survived by her children Alex (Eleanor) Sarabin of Meath Park, SK, Bob (Virginia) Sarabin of Meath Park, SK, Pat (Josh) Slater of Prince Albert, SK, Terry Sarabin of Candle Lake, SK, Doug (Karen) Sarabin of Meath Park, SK, and Debbie Wildey of Airdrie, AB, 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, brother Alex (Mary) Stacey, sisters Anne Mackonka and Sylvia Palibroda as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Peter, her grandson Kelly Sarabin, her parents Tom and Beatrice Stacey, her brothers Martin, Harry, Terry and Tom Stacey and her sister Agnes Nakonechny. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 22nd 2010 at 2:00 PM at MacKenzie Chapel, 130-9th St. E. Prince Albert, SK Interment at Memorial Gardens.
