LOEMAN, EDITH LORRAINE - The passing of Edith “Lorraine” Loeman, loving wife of the late Hartley Loeman, occurred on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1933 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Edith (Miller) Carlin. Lorraine enjoyed reading, poetry, music and movies. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lorraine is survived by her children Steven (Carmel) of Rothesay, Terry (Dean) Loeman-Hansen of Saint John and Chris (Eleanor) also of Saint John; brother Russell Carlin of SK; sisters Joan Carlin of BC and Gloria Walsh of MA; sister-in-law Marilyn Carlin of Saint John; grandchildren Andrea, Amanda, Shaina, Alex, Jordon and Gabrielle; great-grandchildren Madison, Bailey, Mikey and Tanaiya; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her daughter Debbie Gidney, a sister Betty Chase and a brother Delbert Carlin. Special thanks from the Loeman family for the many years of care and friendship given to their Mom by the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa. A special thanks is also given to Dr. Williamson, the staff of 3DS and the Palliative Care unit at the (SJRH) for the wonderful care given to their Mom.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road with visitation on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
