HUBBARD, Elizabeth Jane “Lizer” – 92, Of Hubbard’s Point died January 24, 2013. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother. Born in Hubbard’s Point, she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Jessie (Dulong) Doucette. She is survived by her daughters, Rose Marie Smith (Bill), Halifax; Cecilia Ann Cann (Robert), Hubbard’s Point; sons, Alvin (Mabel), Hubbard’s Point; Junior (Margert), Hubbard’s Point; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Raymond; daughters, Una, Debbie, Carol Anne Hurlbert, Bernice Anne LeBlanc; sisters, Loretta Melanson, Maude, Cecilia; Brothers, Denis, Stanley. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes Ltd., 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. A visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, January 27, with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday in Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, Ste. Anne-de-Ruisseau, Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Burial was held in the parish cemetery following the service.
