GREENLEY, Robert (Bob), 94 years of age of Swift Current, passed away on January 22, 2013. The funeral service was held at 2:00 pm on January 25, 2013 at Warren's Funeral Home with Shirley Wilson officiating. The organist was Arlene Olson. The interment was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The pallbearers were Michael Sabine, Stacy Bolton, Ian Bradley, Trevor Brevick, Logan Spearing and Ron Phaneuf. He is survived by his wife Jean and four daughters. Barb (Wayne) Sabine, Burnham, SK and their children Jacquie (Stacy) Bolton, Swift Current, SK, Michael (Tricia) Sabine, Burnham, SK and their children Jenna and Carson. Audrey (Dennis) Brevick, Prince George, BC and their children, Trevor Brevick, Prince George, BC, Lindsey (Nils) Otten, Berlin, Germany, Stephanie Brevick, Prince George, BC and her son Darius. Myrna Greenley (Barry Bradley), Swift Current, SK and their children April Bradley (Logan Spearing), Saskatoon, SK and Ian Bradley, Swift Current, SK. Isla Greenley (Ross Wright), MacKenzie, BC and their children Katherine Wright and Jessica Wright, Saskatoon, SK. He is survived by his brother Bill of Prince George, BC, sisters Alice Phaneuf, Swift Current, SK, Hazel Calnan, Belleville, ON, Myrtle Smith, London, ON and sister-in-law Ruth Greenley, Vanderhoof, BC. He was predeceased by his parents William and Clara, one brother in infancy, one brother Norman and two sisters, Ida Allan and Dorothy Baum; brothers-in-law Vic Phaneuf, Willy Baum, Kelly Calnan, Eric Allan, Jim Redpath, Bill Redpath, David Redpath; sisters-in-law Kathleen Redpath, Eleanor Redpath, Rita Redpath and Margaret Greenley.Bob was born in Swift Current on March 31, 1918. He attended Bigford School.He was stationed in Vancouver, BC and served four years in the army, in the Aleutian Islands and London, England. After being discharged from the army he returned home to help his dad farm. He also ran a garage in Hallonquist at this time. He worked for the Rural Municipality of Coulee doing road construction for a number of years as well. Bob also worked in a logging camp near Vanderhoof, BC. Upon his arrival home from BC, he returned to work for the R.M.In 1952 he married Jean (Redpath). Bob worked in a garage in Swift Current until taking over the family farm in 1955. Bob continued to be a mechanic for the community as well as farming until he was about 84 years old. He was a linesman for the Bigford Telephone Company from 1955 until it was taken over by Sask Tel. He also served as a school trustee. He was a member of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. Bob's hobby during his later years was restoring antique tractors. He had one special project which was the restoration of a threshing machine which along with his other antique machinery was used to do threshing in the fall. Memorial donations to Telemiracle or Herbert and District Integrated Healthcare Facility would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home, Swift Current.
