It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hector Caines announce his passing at his residence on Monday, January 28th 2013 at the age of 71 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: his wife, Norma; children: Gordie (Sandy), Judi (Edgar) Randell and Tracy (PJ) Tanner; grandchildren: Justin, Nancy, Lindsay and Shane; step-children: Robert and Jessica Goodland; brother and best friend: Bruce Caines (Sheila); sister: Onslow Doull; sister-in-law: Jean (Bill) Brown; brothers-in-law: Jerry Gregory and Kevin Pardy; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends including the Spence Family. He was predeceased by his first wife, Estelle Caines (nee Rocket); sister: Eva Brown; brother-in-law: Hugh Doull and sisters-in-law: Sheila Gregory and Barbara Pardy. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 30th at 10:30 A.M. from The Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. Inurnment will take place on Thursday, January 31st at 10:30 a.m. at the family plot at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
