Alexander Macintosh
Passed on: February 3rd, 2008
Peacefully in his 86th year, Alex left us on February 3, 2008. His kind nature, elegant demeanor and gentle confidence will be missed by his three remaining children, Craig, Donald and Enid; his sister, Gladys Clarkin of Charlottetown; the Johnston clan and many friends. He was predeceased by his Edinburgh-born war bride, Edith (nee Johnston) and their infant daughter, Catherine. Alex joined the army at 17 and quickly became a sergeant seeing duty in England, Europe and later in Korea. After the army he enjoyed Toronto for nearly 60 years. Being born in Caledonia, his annual trips there were a highlight for him. He will have his final resting place in his beloved red soil. Burial to be Wednesday, June 4, at 4 p.m. in Caledonia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home.
