It is with deep regret that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Marjorie Falconer on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Agatha (Bryden) Coombs.
Mom was employed at Brown’s Jewellers, Abbass Studios, Jim Quirk’s and Steel City Sales.
Surviving are her children, Carole (Joe) Farrell, Ann Marie Cameron (Bob Cobourn), Stewart (Beatrice) Falconer and Alan (Pauline) Falconer; grandchildren, Robert Falconer, Alana (Shaun) MacLeod, Joelene Farrell (Colin Burns) Stewart Mac Falconer, Alice Falconer and great–granddaughter, Kayla Farrell, as well as two nieces and a nephew.
She was the last surviving member of her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Capt. Stewart Falconer in 1986, sister, Theresa (Gerald) Clarke, niece, Debbie Clarke.
Mom will be forever missed and forever in our thoughts and in our hearts. God Bless you always.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Fr. James Oliver officiating. Reception to follow in the reception room. Interment to take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
