Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, June 1, 2008, of Cecil Joseph Peters (Pitre) of Charlottetown, age 66 years. Beloved husband of Doreen Peters (nee Wilt) and loving father of J.J. Peters. Cecil is also survived by his mother, Mary Pitre of Tignish; siblings, Lloyd Pitre of Tignish, Bertha Pitre (Dennis) of St. Felix, Emily Chowen (Vernon) of Charlottetown, Oswald Pitre of Bloomfield, Theresa Pitre of Charlottetown, Emile Pitre (Helene) of Tignish Shore, Angela Pitre of St. Felix, Joseph Pitre of Charlottetown, Shirley DesRoches (Seymour) of St. Felix, Francis Pitre (Nicole) of St. Felix and Barbara Gaudet (Dale) of St. Felix; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Jerome Pitre. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends and acquaintances at a memorial service at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at 7 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
