We, her children; wish to sincerely say “Thank You†for the tremendous love and support we received during and following the passing of our dear Mom. To our family; Rubin, Jason, Sarabeth, Kevin, Cordell and Mitchell; we love you all. You are all so understanding of how we are feeling with the loss of Mom. We are so fortunate to have you all. To her dear sisters and brothers; our aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, friends and our co-workers, thank you all for being there with and for us. For those who visited the Funeral Home, attended Mom’s Mass, visited our homes, sent e-mails, prepared food, phoned, sent flowers, sympathy cards, Mass enrollments, charitable donations and monetary gifts, thank you for your condolences, kindness, encouragement and the cherished memories you have given to us of our Mom. Special Thanks to all of Mom’s kind neighbors. To Katherine, Danny and Danielle for all the years of great friendship you had with Mom and (Dad) and for being there in times of sorrow for both of them. You understand. To Sara, for sharing your bench for the little chats and closeness you both shared. To our Dad’s family; Mom felt blessed when she entered your lives. She looked forward to your visits and your calls; we know you all loved her and will miss her dearly too. Bless you all for sharing in her life. Deepest Thanks to Dr. Rose MacKay, Dr. Kevin MacNeil, Staff of ICU, Glace Bay General Hospital, Dr. MacCormick, Dr. Critchley and the Staff of the Cape Breton Regional Cancer Center. To Father Conrad; for your support helping us through those difficult days, the beautiful eulogy you spoke on the “Quilt†which touched not only us, but; all who were present. (“It’s was very nice knowing you felt at home at Mom’s’); as did everyone who visited with her. To our cousins; Bernie MacKinnon and Rodina Ballah, our aunt Connie English, thank you all for reading at her Mass. Mom would have been honored. To the ladies auxiliary of Holy Cross Parish for the beautiful tea provided following the graveside service; special mention to Elaine, Roddie, Fabian, Joe and Marguerite for the past years of many friendships to both Mom and (Dad). To Curry’s Funeral Home for guiding us through an extremely difficult time, and to Stump; special thanks from us children.
To Mom:
How difficult it was to say good-bye; we miss you everyday.
We loved sharing with you Mom; our chats, our laughs, our joys, our tears and our fears.
But behind your smile Mom, you could not hide how you missed them dearly everyday.
So, we gain some strength knowing, no more broken-heart for you today.
A mother’s love is unconditional, as so is a child’s.
You’ll be in our hearts everyday Mom; just like you said that night with us.
Thank you Mom for all your love, till we meet again someday.
