The death occurred at Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, AB on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 of Lorne Brendon Richards in his 76th year. Born in Kinkora, P.E.I. on April 30, 1934, he was the first child of the late George M. Richards and the late Alice (Peters) Richards. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Edna (Leo) Arsenault of Kensington, P.E.I., Leo Richards of Wellington, P.E.I.; Douglas (Bev) Peters of Kinkora, P.E.I.; Eric (Joyce) Richards of Bedford, N.S. and Joan (Tom) McAlpine of Grand Valley, ON. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Georgina (Richards) Myers. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Malachy’s Parish, Kinkora, P.E.I. at a later date. Interment will be in the parish cemetery next to his parents. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora, P.E.I.
