LeBLANC, Dorothy Marie “Doris” – 76, Short Beach, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 18, 1936 in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Pauline Doucette. Doris was a retired Personal Care Worker, having worked at Villa Saint Joseph-du-Lac, and in her spare time, she enjoyed making crafts. She is survived by her husband, Stanley “Slugger” LeBlanc, as well as by their children, Joanne Muise (Robert Saulnier), Wellington and Henry LeBlanc, Short Beach, along with grandchildren, Alesha, Melissa and Shirley; great grandchildren, Mateo, Kaitlyn, Cassidy, Marquel and Maddiea. Aside from her mother, she was predeceased by a son, Stephen LeBlanc, a daughter, Joyce Doucette, and two grandchildren, Karen and Steven. In accordance with Doris’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A private memorial service will be held at Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth, Rev. Mr. Stephen Bourque officiating. Interment will take place in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth.
