Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, January 21, 2010, Shirley Linthorne of Marysvale, aged 65 years. Leaving to mourn her husband of 47 years, Nelson; one son, Ernest (Patricia); five daughters: Janet (Ken), Gail (Albert), Hazel (Bob), Shirley (Sean), Sharon (Johnny); nine grandchildren; one sister, Roseanne; brothers: Ted (Eileen), Joe (Beth); two brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus, with visitation on Friday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral to take place on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at 2 p.m. from Broughton’s Memorial Chapel with interment to follow in the U.C. Cemetery, Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
