The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on January 31, 2013, of Muriel E. Richards, formerly of Souris.
Loving daughter of Elizabeth and Frank Palin. Muriel is survived by her granddaughter Jennifer Palais Gulick (Gregory) of Florida; her sister Hilda Hume of Colorado; and her sister-in-law Joan (Bill) MacLean of Souris. Deeply missed by her god-daughter and niece Sondra (Paul) Browning of Florida; nieces, Susan Gale, Marcia Robertson and Nancy Eveson; and by nephews, Robin Palin, Paul Hume, Allan MacLean and Rowan MacLean. Fondly remembered by Pauline (Alan) Bissell of Bermuda and P.E.I., and by many cherished friends and relatives in P.E.I. and elsewhere.
Muriel was predeceased by her dear husband, Claude N. Richards, and her beloved daughter, Claudia Richards Palais, as well as by her sister, Dorothy Daley, and her brothers, Eric and Frank Palin.
There will be no visitation, at Muriel’s personal request. Her funeral will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Charlottetown on Tuesday, February 12, at 11 a.m. Interment at a later date in St. Albans Cemetery, in Souris. A reception will follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Muriel’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church or to the charity of your choice.
