E. Maxine Wright
WRIGHT, E. MAXINE - The death of E. Maxine Wright, widow of the late Vernon Wright occurred on February 2, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in West Saint John in 1925, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Freda (Brittain) McMaster. Mrs. Wright was a graduate of Saint John High School and Modern Business College. She began her career with the Federal Public Service at the Department of National Defence, R.C.E. and from there at the end of the war to the Department of Veterans Affairs and V.L.A. In later years, she was employed with the Department of Immigration from where she retired as Senior Immigration Officer with a total of 34 years of government service. Maxine participated in many sports and in later years was an enthusiastic golfer. She was a past member of the Sussex Golf and Curling Club; a former member of the Fundy Chapter I.O.D.E.; an associated member of the R.C.L. Branch #69 and the Federal Superannuate Association. Maxine was also an active volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross for several years. She is survived by her son Kirk (Heather) Trenholm, Saint John, granddaughter Kelsie Trenholm of Halifax and son-in-law Michel Lefebvre, Montreal. She was predeceased by her daughter, Stephanie Lefebvre in August 2012. Maxine is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
By request no flowers, but donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. By Maxine’s request, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or funeral. Private family interment will take place at a later date. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Elizabeth Keyes and the staff of 4BSouth for their kindness and compassion.
