It is with heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of our dear mother, Eileen Cecilia Gracie, Feb. 2, 2013, at the Northside Community Guest Home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Aug. 7, 1927, in Sydney Mines, Eileen was the daughter of the late William and Caroline Clinton.
Eileen enjoyed visits from her children, and especially loved to see her grandchildren come for a visit. Mom was a member of St. Stephen’s parish, Florence.
Eileen is survived by her children, Annette (Jim) Cameron, Wayne (Gloria), Caroline (Earl) Burley, Dianne (Gerard) White, Frances Chase, Mary (Alain) Caillouette, Johnny (Chrissie), Dale Carr, Tina (Michael) King, Martin (Theresa), Shirley (Greg) Deveaux, Blair (Wanda), Jimmie (Donna); son-in-law, Keith Boutilier; daughter-in-law, Debra; sister, Lorraine Clark; 37 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Eileen is predeceased by her husband, Harold, longtime companion, James Devoe, daughter, Lorraine (Cookie), sons, Tommy, Ewen, Billy and infant son, granddaughter, Tammy Mercer, sisters, Alice, Helen, Lena, brother, Bill.
Visitation for the late Eileen Gracie will be held in the J.M. Jobes Funeral Home 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will take place Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, Florence, with Fr. J.J. MacDonald officiating. A reception will be held in the parish hall following the mass.
Family flowers only. Memorials donations may be made to the Northside Community guest home foundation.
