Ronald Dwyer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Jack Dwyer age 80 of Maccan on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, while surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Chignecto, NS, on August 22, 1932, Ronald was a son of the late Jack and Lillian (Collins) Dwyer.
Ron had a great sense of humour and loved spending time with his family and many friends. He shared a very special bond with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, daily drives and his animals. Ron liked sports of all types and was a true Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
His life teachings to his family will be cherished forever.
Ron will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Lillian (St. Peter); sons, Glen O’Brien, Halifax, NS, and Kevin (Cheryl) St. Peter, Maccan; daughters, Kelly (Kenny) Roberts, Joggins, Donna (Virgil) Ryan, Maccan, Michelle (Aarren) Brown, and Tanya Dwyer(Jon), both of Amherst; 17 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Jim, and Reg (Iona) both of Maccan; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides his parents, Ron was predeceased by brothers, Logan, Albert and Edward; sisters, Margret Marks, Inez Doucette and Agnes St. Peters; as well as a sister in infancy, Audrey.
His remains are resting in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with funeral service on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 3:00 p.m., Mrs. Ruth Gamble, DLM officiating.
Interment will take place in the spring in the Maccan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
