CRANDALL, ELINOR - Elinor Myrtle Crandall, 91, of Petitcodiac, passed away at the Jordon Lifecare Centre on February 3, 2013. Born in Petitcodiac, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Jennie (nee Hicks) Horsman. Elinor was a faithful member of the Petitcodiac United Baptist Church and was involved with W.M.S. Gullison Group. She was a past president of the ladies Auxillary branch #41, Petitcodiac, and also was a member of the Petitcodiac Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Steeves of Petitcodiac; grandchildren: Darrin Steeves, Derek (Lynn) Steeves, David (Cheryl Hodder) Steeves, Darlene (Stephen) Hawkes, Deina (Tim Curtis) Steeves; great-grandchildren: Sarah Steeves, and Makayla and Canyon Hawkes. Besides her parents, Elinor was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Crandall who passed away in 1986; and son-in-law Wayne Steeves who passed away in 2011.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Armstrong’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm; the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11am with Rev. David Woodworth presiding at the Petitcodiac United Baptist Church. Interment will be held in the Maplewood Cemetery at a later date. Donations made to the Petitcodiac United Baptist Church, the Gullison W.M.S. Group or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
