We the family of Ann Elizabeth MacArthur regretfully announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister and aunt at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, with her family by her side.
Ann was the daughter of Mary Jessie (MacIsaac) MacArthur and the late Archie Edward MacArthur.
In earlier years, Ann worked as a lab technician at St. Rita’s, Sydney, Pathology Lab, Halifax and Montreal. Ann enjoyed travelling to different destinations, but especially enjoyed spending time at her bungalow with family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Jessie; brothers, Edward (Margaret), East Bay, Dan (Ruth), Coxheath, Bryne, at home; sisters Penny, at home, Clara (Sandy) MacNeil, Sydney, Velma Gillis, Caribou Marsh, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved and cared for deeply.
At Ann’s request, there will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at St. Anthony Daniel Church with Rev. Donald MacGillivary officiating. Interment in St. Margaret’s Parish Cemetery, Grand Mira.
