We, the family of Gary Hillier, would like to offer our sincere thanks and appreciation to our family and friends for their support throughout his illness.

It was with broken hearts we witnessed the passing of a loving and devoted brother, uncle & friend. We gratefully acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and support in the way of cards, telephone calls, hospital & funeral home visitations, prayers, online condolences, flowers, gifts of food & donations made in Gary’s memory.

The support of his friends and colleagues throughout the island, especially Corner Brook was overwhelming. Every single act of kindness helped to alleviate our sorrow. He thoroughly enjoyed the texts, emails, phone calls and especially the visits. They brought a smile to his face.

A very special thank you to the doctors and staff at the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, Western Memorial Hospital and Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre. We also would like to thank the staff at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Holy Trinity Anglican Church.

The outpouring of support received during his illness was a reflection of how cherished an individual he was. He was always concerned about the feelings of others over his own and this is evident from his own words,
