FORESTELL, A. MARIE - A. Marie (McCrossin) Forestell, wife of the late James Martin Forestell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Saint John in 1920 she was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Sara E. (Fitzgerald) McCrossin. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brother Raymond J. McCrossin. Marie worked as an Audiometrist for the Saint John General Hospital. She was an active member of Stella Maris Church serving as a Lay Minister. She volunteered for Fundy Funeral Home and the East Saint John Food Bank. Marie enjoyed bowling with the Seniors League and was a member of St. Vincent’s Alumnae. She is survived by her sons Lt. Col Ret James M.J. Forestell (Lorraine) of Winnipeg, Michael H. Forestell (Diane) of Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Paul H. Forestell (Nancy Marksbury) of South Hampton, NY and Harry Forestell (Jenny) of Fredericton; daughters Margaret C.M. Forestell-McLeod (George) of Saint John and Elizabeth A. Forestell of Toronto; grandchildren James P., Susan (Hersh), Sheila (Joel), Jack (Sylvie), George (Lorri), Cathy (Sean), Jordan, Makena (Brie), Patricia, Erin and Ian; great grandchildren Sarah, Cameron, Connor, Keeghan, Paige, Makailey, Katherine Ann, Isodora, Eleanor and Henry; and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday, February 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m and Monday, February 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Church, 201 Bayside Drive on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 12 noon. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
