Jean-Paul "Cowboy" Bastarache
BASTARACHE, JEAN-PAUL "COWBOY" - 1945 - 2013 - Jean-Paul "Cowboy" Bastarache, 67, of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche, and formerly of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Manoir on Thursday, February 7th, 2013. He was married to Jeannine (LeBlanc) Bastarache. Born in Bouctouche he was the son of the late Alyre and the late Helena (LeBlanc) Bastarache. Cowboy was profoundly proud of his family; his wife, three children, and his two granddaughters. He will be best remembered for his beautiful gift of singing, his amazing friendliness and his trade as a drywall installer. He will be sadly missed by his wife Jeannine, his three children; Ella Gallant (Francis) of Shediac Bridge, Tina Bastarache (Charles) of Bouctouche and Yvon (Nicole) of Saint-Grégoire, his two granddaughters; Chantal and Danica. He also leaves to mourn his brother Emerie “Nye” (Joan) of Bouctouche, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one sister; Annette and two brothers; Harry and Gerard “Dick”.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday, February 11th, 2013 from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday February 12th, 2013 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
