It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Shirl McLean announce his passing on Friday, January 22nd, 2010 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 61 years, Lola (nee Crocker); three sons: Keith, Mike and Bob, all residing in Ontario; grandchildren: Michael, Erica, Lance, Scott, Joseph and Riley; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Keira and Courtney; one brother, Bert McLean, Trout River; as well as many friends and family. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Sunday evening, 7-9 p.m. and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 26th, at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Curling. Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
