GREEN, G. MURRAY - Mr. G. Murray Green of Apohaqui passed away on February 10, 2013 at the age of 93. He was the son of the late Howard and Edith (Stackhouse) Green and was the husband of the late Olive (Kincade) Green who passed away in 2012. Murray is survived by his daughter, Blanche Hendy (Gordon) of Windsor, NS; his sons, Jim of Apohaqui and Ken (Mariette) of Apohaqui; his brother, Arthur (Irene) of Scotch Settlement; two sisters, Greta Shaw (Ed) of Sussex and Pauline Beers of Sussex; six grandchildren, Robert (Donna), Mark (Carol), Stacy, Judy, Ryan and Randy; three great grandchildren, Rylie, Jensen and Kendra as well as several nieces and nephews. Murray was predeceased by his daughter, Edith, his son Bruce; seven brothers, Douglas, Roy, Blake, Jack, Lloyd, Albert and Ora; three sisters, Ruby Smith, Laura Brown and Evelyn Sharp and daughter in law Linda Green.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm. Sussex Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20 will hold a tribute at 5:45 pm. A service celebrating Murray’s life will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11:00 am.
