Michael James Wishlow, born July 20, 1949, my Dad and good friend, slipped away peacefully January 21, 2010 while listening to a calming guitar solo played by Erin Montgomery, music therapist at the QEII Hospital in Halifax, N.S. Michael received a terminal lung cancer diagnosis in October 2009 while living in the English Bay area of Vancouver. Cremation has taken place and interment will be this summer in Campbellton, P.E.I., with his mother Myzie Mae (MacKay) Wishlow. Because of the tremendous support we received right across Canada from family, friends and medical and professional personnel, Dad got his last wish and came home to Nova Scotia.
