Mary Kathleen Chiasson (Lewis) passed away January 21, 2010 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Halifax. Born in Sydney, NS, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anne Lewis of Sydney. She was a graduate of Holy Angels High School in Sydney, and later, Teachers College in Truro. She spent her career as a music teacher with the Halifax Public School system.
She lived for husband John and son’s John and Tim. She loved to spend her summers on the Mira River in Cape Breton at the cottage that was originally the Lewis family cottage.
Kay, as she was known, is survived by her husband John, Of Halifax, son John, daughter-in-law Kathryn, and granddaughter Reese of Collingwood, ON , and son Tim, daughter-in-law Kristi and granddaughter Ryleigh of Waterville, Main. Pre-deceased by her sister Mona Faye (Lewis).
