Daniel Boutilier

In loving memory of Daniel Joseph Boutilier ‘Boots’ who passed away suddenly, at the age of 52, on Feb. 11, 2013, after a long battle with illness.
Daniel was predeceased by his father, Daniel Joseph Boutilier Sr., his mother, Johanna (Kehoe) Boutilier and his sister, Roseann Boutilier.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Boutilier, Truro; his six children, Dan (Becca) Boutilier, Dominion, Steve (Lee) Boutilier, Glace Bay, Ryan (Katie) Boutilier, Calgary, Angel Boutilier, Dominion, Kayla (Adam) Boutilier, Halifax, and Kylie (Jason) Caldwell, Truro; two brothers, Bernie (Rita) Boutilier, Fort McMurray, and Kenny (Karen) Boutilier, Gardiner Mines; five grandchildren, Makayla, MacKenzie, Owen, Lucas and Avery.
Daniel will be remembered for his many years of dedicated service to the PPCLI - (Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry). He will always be remembered as a loving husband, amazing father and dedicated grandfather.
No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, Rev. Larry Harrison officiating.
A second memorial service will be held in Curry Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay, on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m., for all Daniel’s family and friends in the Cape Breton area.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Daniel’s honour may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Canada or Veterans Affairs.
