OLIVER, EVELYN - Evelyn Marie Oliver, loving wife of Vernon Oliver passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1941 in Lewisville, NB she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Catherine (Bourgeios) Breau. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her son Jimmy Oliver; brother Alyre Jr. and infant siblings Patrick and Stella. Evelyn was “our” angel on earth who touched so many lives with her generous heart, unconditional love and selfless spirit. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family and her seven grandchildren who were the focal part of her life. She showered her family and friends with love creating many cherished memories. Among her favorite things to do included bingo, cards and sharing lots and lots of laughter. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Vernon; son Michael Oliver (Susan) of Fredericton; daughters Jo-Anne Belyea (Norm) of Saint John and Theresa Conway (Scott) of Rothesay; cherished grandchildren Colin, Janelle and Evan Belyea, Matthew and Craig Oliver, Jensen and Lauren Conway; brothers Joseph Breau (Karen) of Vancouver and Paul Breau (Lois) of Connecticut; sisters Lucy Gallant (Charlie) of Saint John, Anna Retallack (Rich) of Connecticut, Claire Brauer (Allen) of Connecticut, Jeannette Pelletier (Chuck) of Connecticut, Theresa Thayer (John) of Florida and Cathy Squire (Wally) of Connecticut; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Assumption Church, 360 Dufferin Row, West Saint John, on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
